I really like the colours and the design, I wish I had your
visual skills :-)
It looks the same in IE5,6,7b Opera8.5 and FF1.5 and almost in
Konqueror, but there's a couple of things I'm not sure they're
intentional:
- The blue-white striped borders left and right of the thumbnails
are higher than one row of thumbnails, which aren't vertically
centered relative to those borders, and when the thumbnails wrap,
the borders don't stretch. Personally I would have wanted them
exactly as high as the row(s) of thumbnails, regardless how many
rows there were.
- you gave the h2 'paintings' a 20px right padding, which makes
it look accidentally not-centered.
- The same for the thumbnails. I understand they are floated
left, but when they're in a row of five in my regular window
width, they look as if they should be centered, only they're a
bit off to the right. Why not just center them instead?
- when clicking any of the links, they turn bold, which is nice,
but they make the rest of the links jump left and right to make
room for the bold letters. Vertically, this can be remedied with
line-height, maybe that works horizontally too?
- lastly, in Konqueror, the golden block and the signature in the
bottom 'frame' are off-center to the left about 20px, so that the
end line of the signature ends right in the middle of the 'gap'.
