Hi Cam,
When you enlarge the fontsize in IE-viewing (menu View > Fontsize), the 
frame is lowering even more. So it has to do with scaling of a line: 
when fontsize needs more than the prescribed height of 35px (for the 
img) of the .lhead, the IE is stretching the box. It has to be the 
invisible h1! Adding a small and fixed fontsize, IE will stay in place:
     .lhead { font-size: 5px; }
