Hi Shelly,
Ta-da!
Could not resist the temptation to experiment the funny borders.
- Funny, funny: seems everything is ... possible! :-)
* Horizontally & vertically liquid.
* Font-scaling no problem.
* Valid code in XHTML 1.0 Strict is working in NS6, IE6 (yes!),
FF1.07, Opera 8.01, Mozilla 1.71.
* No minimum height needed (that is: if the content is large enough
to have the height of the gradient; otherwise the gradient-img has
to be smaller).
* No table needed.
* At the moment reso-proof from 800x600 -- 1280x1024; for very high
resolutions only the top-bottom image has to be enlarged (easy done).
And the test page is (just added):
*Liquid Playgarden Example #10: The Gradient Border
*http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/liquidcorners/liquid-corners-playgarden-10-xhtml-strict.htm
(html-code inside is not yet clean and clear, still hot from cooking,
but working & valid)
(not yet in the index of the playgarden, will follow)
(some javascript added, only for the show)
Have fun with it: hope this is kind of what you mean!
Greetings,
francky
