Oh boy. Scrolling text. A great distraction when you're trying to
focus on another part of the page. This is the web, it isn't a small
display with a lot of information and a lot of viewers - its a
(generally) large display where each user has their own display and
can move scrollbars about to see text!

Anyway - you can have a marquee effect using JavaScript (which is
beyond the scope of this mailing list, but gives you a starting point
for searching).
