Try: body { font: 100%/1.2 sans-serif; } let the /primary/ content p inherit default(100%), and let the /secondary/ content drop (using percent) to 95%, with 90% set on the navigation. She'll scale in IE. Children and older folks will flock to your site to behold its wonder. And everyone else will adjust the fonts(up or down) as they deem necessary. The purpose of typography is very simple: make content readable. It has absolutely nothing to do with being 'cool.'
