Thank you... and everyone else who replied.... I was reading a lot of the content from http://www.satzansatz.de/cssd/onhavinglayout.html (given to me by a previous reply) and trying to grasp the "hasLayout" concept.
What you say is right, that I don't really need it to validate... Its just one of those perfectionist things... I will try to figure out why "hasLayout" isn't kicking in. Is there a tool you can use where you find out what areas of the page have the "hasLayout" flag set and which ones don't? I'm using Liquid Columns, so I don't know what I can play with yet to avoid breaking them.
