The site has been launched only recently on that domain. A test version has 
been posted in a different domain and there has been no previous version 
without the stamp, so I don't think it can be an old version in the cache 
playing up.
I'm repeating literally what the client wrote to me. On several occasions 
only after refreshing does the image appear.
IE6 only, for PC.

I've tried to reproduce the problem, even tried with a version without the 
stamp, but I can't reproduce it myself, so I can't be of any more help than 
what I posted.
But from the replies I received it sounds more like a problem in the 
client's server end than an actually existing problem in the coding.
