I am having two issues with a list menu that I'm trying to write:

1. The menu works fine in Firefox and Safari. In IE6 for Windows, the
menu works fine at the root level, but once a user goes to pages in
other directories it only partially functions. The first level of the
menu has an active link but the second (the drop down) levels no
longer display.

Example: <http://www.keenancomm.com/test/pshow/index.html>
CSS <http://www.keenancomm.com/test/pshow/css/basic.css>

This is surprising to me since I have written other menus that work
fine. I have tried to compare the two and the critical difference
eludes me.

Working example: <http://www.keenancomm.com/index.html>
CSS <http://www.keenancomm.com/css/basic.css>

Both the xhtml files validate. The CSS files validate EXCEPT for the
use of csshover.htc.

2. The second issue is that I would prefer to have the drop down menu
(when it works) to appear below the initial menu item. Whenever I try
to position it there it causes the remaining items in the first level
of the menu to move down. What I was hoping to do was to position the
initial items with enough space between them to accomodate the drop-
down items and have their positioning remain static.

Any help or suggestions will be gratefully and humbly accepted.
