Greetings,

We have our site, which is live at http://yankeemagazine.com - a major
problem, and some minor ones I know about. The major problem being the
right-hand column.

This was supposed to be a simple, 3-column layout with header and
footer. It turned out to be not so. I only did the design and the
template. The whole thing after I was done with it, was taken by a
programmer and put into a custom CMS they had built from scratch.

My guess is, that all the inline styling and styling that might reside
in some legacy code, is making this impossible for me to style in IE7.

IE6 and Firefox "were" looking good the last time I had checked. Though
that may have changed recently when things were re-named and moved about
by the programmer.

My hands are tied at this point, because I am not allowed to go into the
code and validate the XHTML, that was valid Strict when I had made the
template. I've been met with some resistance to the fact that legacy
code can be to some point, validated, it is a pain, but it can be done.
I can't validate the CSS without the XHTML being valid, and the use of
Flash, the use of HTML tags that pop up in the code occasionally, is
really frustrating.

Regardless, the problem with IE7 I think is all the inline styling, if
you can find it through the silly amount of code that is placed in there
by this archaic CMS system.

Thanks.
