I've never been able to get the width expression thing to work, ever. Now, I've never tried Georg's examples, but they boggle my mind in their complexity, so I haven't had the courage to. Instead, I just stick a good ol' JavaScript (usually the doxdesk one) in my pages that reads the max-width set in my CSS without any additional work from me. IE expressions are pretty much JavaScript, and they don't work when JavaScript is off, so I have no qualms about using a real script to handle IE's deficiency instead of maddening myself with expressions. When you do this, your message gets threaded on to the old thread, which messes up the archives and makes it less likely that others will see your message and subsequently reply to you. You must send a new message with an appropriate and descriptive subject line to css-d@lists.css-discuss.org in order to start a new thread. Thanks, Zoe -- Zoe M.
