I can fix it for IE in francky's testcase http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/css-discuss/test-IE-percentages.html by .c { width: expression("50%"); width: 50%; } #mainwrap1, #mainwrap2 ... { position:relative; } but this is not the was I want to go. I think I give it up and take the pragmatic route. The purpose of this page was to test the inverted equal heights columns attempt coming out of the footer stick alt.
