Hi DC,
Do you have a link to a real page? That will make the conversation a bit 
easier! :-)
If I paste your code in a document directly, it is showing the typo's above:

    .body {..}

instead of

     body {...}

and the not existing class

     <div class=""logo>

and will give this testpage, which isn't font scaling proof

If I correct the code, and add something to center FF, we get this 
testpage. <http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/css-discuss/test-dc.htm>
So the question is: what is the exact question? ;-)
