I use the Edit CSS feature of Firefox's Web Developer toolbar (http://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/) to see realtime changes (obviously, only in FF - I don't have enough monitors to take advantage of your suggestion anyway...), then switch to IE with Microsoft's DOM Inspector ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=E59C3964-672D-4511-BB3E-2D5E1DB91038&displaylang=en) to fix the inevitable IE glitches.
