I was surprised to see this works in IE7 & FF - not sure about other browsers - can anyone point me to an explanation or confirm that this works cross browsers?
I saw a page that had a background image with repeat-y - The image was basically a solid color band with a shadow/bevel at about 100px and then a shadow at about 860px - There was then a main content div that was set to center and was 760 px wide. What I am curious about was that on resizing the browser window - as I make it skinnier the background image seems to crop evenly from both sides leaving the shadows nicely in place. Is this the way the standard is defined and does this work in most currently used browser. Thanks for shedding light on this for me. ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7 information -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
