Adding display: inline;  (margin-doubling bug)  to #content seemed to 
work for IE6 (xp :: local). I do not have IE5x at the moment.
Perhaps someone else on the list can help.

IMHO, I think there is a definite need to support IE6; but unless it is 
a client demand or you have a personal compelling need, some authors no 
longer support IE5x.

With regard to cross-browser viewing, if you mean IE, and you are on a 
PC, you can get multiple installs of IE here:

Or you can use browsercam (rather expensive):
<http://www.browsercam.com/>
