Hi David - actually when I view IE6 & FF at 
1280x1024 they really are pretty close.  Nothing 
is really out of alignment whack .. just a bit 
different look to it - mostly the look of the 
fonts.  But that doesn't surprise me.  When I 
shrink'r down to 124x768 I do see that the 2nd 
from left section drops down about halfway.  Not 
being a css whiz ... there are a couple of things 
that come to mind.  Your widths aren't set right 
size-wise - so figure them out for total width 
and see if you need to change something there.

Since I started doing that, things have fallen 
into place much easier for me and seems I can get 
things to look pretty darn close 'tween IE & 
Firefox in most cases without driving myself insane.

You might also need a br clear div or something 
in there to keep things in line: <br style="clear: both;" />
I've found that's popped things into place for me 
when I've got multiple columns.
