CSS-d, I have a DIV that is floated right, and contains a graphic and a menu.
The web site is here, and the menu is the one on the right hand side, being carried by a sumo-cherub: http://nihongode.jp Depending on the browser width, there is a chance it can overlap with the main logo graphic. By default, it seems to go underneath the logo. So, I set the div to have a z-index of 1000. The div that contains the logo has a z-index of 100. However, this has not made the div rise to the top. It still gets obscured by a portion of the logo if it happens to be located in a space occupied in part by the logo. Am I missing something fundamental about how Z-index works? Thank you for any advice. -- Dave M G CSSed Zend Studio 5.5 Photoshop 7 (Wine) Inkscape, GIMP, Ubuntu 7.04 ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7 information -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
