Hello, I have a situation where Firefox (and Safari) appears not to be reading some style specifications. The example can be seen at http://marshamcneer.idxre.com/idx/search.cfm?cid=13028.<http://marshamcneer.idxre.com/idx/search.cfm?cid=13028>
Please note: I do not have control of this page, so please don't criticize me for validation errors or other problems. I'm sorry to have to ask for help where it may be difficult for those who are attempting to aid me. But this page is being delivered by a third-party service. Essentially, I have the ability to add new style specifications to override the service's stylesheets. The styling I add is written directly into the page. In Firefox, some of the input fields (such as Maximum Price and Minimum Price) have a white background and different fonts and text colors from the other fields. Please look at the embedded styles. The next-to-last entry is for #ihfSearch10_MinPrice input, #ihfSearch10_MaxPrice input ... and a few other input fields, setting the colors and font to match the other input fields. These settings are used by IE, but not Firefox, on either PC or Mac, or by Safari.. Inspecting the application of the CSS in Firebug, these input elements don't show any recognition that those embedded style specs even exist. They simply show styling from the linked stylesheets. Safari doesn't seem to read the color or background color specs on sny of the input fields. And its reading of the font family appears to match Firefox -- which is to say, there's a mixture of fonts. Could someone suggest what might be preventing Firefox and Safari from seeing these specifications? I realize that the situation of so many style specs attempting to override each other is very confusing, but as I say, it's something I cannot control. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance. -- Thanks, Tom Tom McNeer MediumCool http://www.mediumcool.com 1735 Johnson Road NE Atlanta, GA 30306 404.589.0560 ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7 information -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
