Hi Michael, I am new to this listserve so please forgive me if I am off base.
I have added a 3px yellow border to your containing div, and it appears to be positioned at 0 (top) of the body. am I missing something? I have looked at it in Firefox 5.0 and IE 6.0. However to center the containing div in IE you will need to center the text in the body element.
