Hello! First post to the list, actually...this is my first post to any mailing list ever, that I remember.
Here goes: I've been tasked with taking our company's website, which had been previously composed almost completely in Flash, and recreating it, as perfectly as I could, with CSS/HTML. I offered to take a crack at the first couple of pages to see if I could handle it (I've been writing for a while, but am only now feeling comfortable enough to take something like this on) and it's been going well. Relevant pages: http://5-wits.com/home.html - current flash page http://5-wits.com/development/home/index.php - in-progress html/css page http://5-wits.com/development/home/css/stylish.css - current css document. (scroll to the bottom for relevant material) (I've added comments to both documents highlighting the sections relevant to my question) Both the index and homestyle validate with one, I believe, unrelated exception in the index file where I've wrapped an a href around a div to make the entire div a link...which will be changed to something more appropriate at a later time. The problem I have, and I realize I'm rambling, only getting to the problem at this point, is the section of photos in the lower right hand corner. In IE7 they group together very nicely and either don't extend below the bottom of their containing div, or do so relatively unnoticeably, however, in FF 2 space is added between each row of images, extending the photo section noticeably below it's containing div. I found this conversation in the recent archives: http://lists.css-discuss.org/mailman/private/css-d/2007-July/079462.html but I'm not certain it applies to my situation, and if it does, I don't fully understand the solution offered. I'm sorry I didn't dig further back, but it's a fairly daunting archive. Thank you in advance for any help. - Schuyler Towne P.S. - I sent this from the wrong email before, and some things have changed on the site, I believe everything posted above is still valid, though. Thanks! - Schuyler ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d IE7 information -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=IE7 List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
