Hallo Mark, It Looks good on my Macs, old and new Safari...
Just a thought though - It took me a moment or two to realise that I need to effect a 'mouse down' operation over the 'thumbnails' in order to see the 'full' image on each page Had you considered putting a brief instruction on the pages to that effect, i.e., "Use your mouse (or implement of choice) and left-click and hold to view larger image" A bit wordy, but something to help ease the discovery that, "yes, the images change opacity, but nothing seems to happening"...
