I have to use 3 zoom levels to get the size up almost to a comfortable reading level, and my screen is larger and resolution lower than those laptops. Those using IE<v7 will be unable to do the same. The thumbnails themselves for such users are much too small to generate any serious interest in any purchase, since clicking on them just generates more of the same. You can and should use CSS to size those images and their captions, so that it doesn't matter what resolution or screen size its visitors are using, and get big enough images and text to possibly generate results.
