Thanks for looking Gunlaug,
The div I mean is the top pink div, immediately below the logo header.

I was sure the page wouldnt have validated - the page still has a long way 
to go - I started with the default cubecart template, which Ive been 
changing to look how I want it, so I didn't write the initial code.
