Hi Lisa, While I cannot comment on your specific problem -- I'll leave that to the CSS masters that have oodles of experience -- what I did want to mention was the Position Is Everything web site. There are a lot of documented bugs/quirks on that site, as well as links to other CSS resources/information sites. The URL is www.positioniseverything.net. That site, Eric Meyer's myriad books, and this list (though I mostly lurk about), help me keep my sanity!
