The centering of the #main DIV and the centering of the background image do not match up in IE. If you slowly widen or narrow the window, you will find that the content shifts alternately left and right by one pixel WRT the background. I'm afraid I don't have a solution for this. You have a more serious problem in IE7. When you zoom, the background image does not expand along with the rest of the page. I believe this is an IE7 bug. To circumvent it, add a dimensionless wrapper to the page and put the background image on that.
