For a quick fix, try adding: margin-top:3px; to your h1 definition.

I don't think it has much to do with AOL, it's apparent in vanilla flavored IE7.

It would be better if you use relative addressing for your stylesheets. It took 
a few minutes for me to work out why, when I altered your stylesheet definition 
locally, I could see no difference in the browser display, because the HTML was 
referencing your online stylesheet!! :-)

BTW you also have a letter 'o' missing from the URL you typed (below). It 
obviously should be: http://www.choroideremia.org/crf_header.php
It just makes more work for us detectives to do. <g>

  I have a report from an AOL user in the USA that my banner font is so big
