Markup validation isn't a CSS issue, so it's off-topic in this list. But
please re-read the explanation that the validator gives; in practice,
you have
<li> <a id="AK" href="#"<span> ...
which should be
<li> <a id="AK" href="#"><span>
i.e. with a ">" that closes the <a> tag.
