Thanks, very nice. I hope it helps. Before applying hasLayout to the LIs there was a gap between the right edge of a list items text and the left border of the next list item. I guess these gaps are space characters from the source code, because there is no right padding or margin defined, but there are space characters in between the LIs.
In FF those gaps are still there, in IE they vanished after applying hasLayout. So I defined an additional right padding in the IE stylesheet to compensate for that.
