As long as use the id tag to name an element that will only be used once 
on that page i don't see anything wrong with your practice. What i am 
wondering more about are the purpose of the cascaded div, taken from 
your example. By the naming of the elements it seems to me, that those 
divs serve the purpose of of rendering the design around the content, 
but not as much the content itself. Maybe you can rethink the structure 
to make it more simply and might so get rid of alot of those div elements.

But to say more it would be good to see an example of your code with 
attached CSS.
