You can arrange floats side by side, as columns, more or less in any order you like - this way... <http://www.alistapart.com/articles/negativemargins> Source-order manipulation vs. number of columns can be taken as far as you care to, as it's just a question about learning and understanding this technique. I use it all the time... <http://www.gunlaug.no/contents/wd_additions_26.html> ...but in slightly more complex ways than the article describe, and usually with only two or three columns.
