You don't mention which version/platform of Firefox…

On Fx 3/OS X 10.5 I see no such colour shifts at all. There is a very  
slight trembling of the colours when resizing the window, but it is  
barely noticeable. And the same can be seen with Safari 3.1.
Ad Georg mentions, some colour combinations are better than others.

Fx 2 on the same machine has one major issue: every time the main  
image is changed the text (all the text) loses part of its anti- 
aliasing, looking much 'lighter'. That is a known bug, specific to Fx2  
Mac. But no colour shifts. Resizing the window doesn't cause more  
issues than noted above.
One potential 'fix' is to apply 'opacity:0.99999' to all text blocks.  
That does have the effect, in my book, that text looks real cr*p in  
all browsers.
