It ain't necessarily the calculation of "width" so much as it is the "and such" that has it more or less as you want in Mac FF/3+, but rather whacked in Safari, Camino, FF/2.0.0.16, IE/7, and IE/6. Markup validation is important, but no guarantee a layout will not be upside down and backward in one or another browser. > http://www.akisma.com/design/monks/ > > > > If you are up for it, try this 2 column tutorial [1], might give you a handle on managing "the calculation of width and such?" And it'll work cross-browser... <http://www.456bereastreet.com/lab/developing_with_web_standards/csslayout/2-col/> -- A thin red line and a salmon-color ampersand forthcoming. http://chelseacreekstudio.com/ ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
