No wonder. Negative margins can be tricky, and IE6 has its own
interpretation that doesn't quite follow "the book".

Balance the element by adding...

div#branding {margin-right: -150px;}

...and IE6 will understand what you're trying to do and center perfectly
- even better than other browsers for _that_ particular layout-solution.
