I've seen such things happen on some browsers in some circumstances but 
never studied the issue in detail. If I remember correctly, problems 
sometimes appeared when I had hidden fields inside a div element (which is 
good structuring practice though might cause undesired visual effects).

Can you specify a URL and name the version(s) of IE where this happens?
