One does not wish to be picky (well, not unreasonably so), but given that the article is rendered at an unreadably small size on my machine, I would have expected that after hitting Ctrl+ twice to make it readable, the text would have reflowed to suit. But it does not : instead, it forces me to scroll sideways in order to read it. Agreed, once I have done so, the full measure remains visible, but this does not seem to me to be a valid demonstration of "fluid design", no matter how well intended. As this effect is also visible at (say) http://www.alistapart.com/articles/ it looks as if the problem lies 100% in the court of "A List Apart" rather than with the author of said article; it does seem odd to me that such a well-meaning site should choose to present itself in such an inaccessible style.
