I recently rejoined this list, as I missed learning from the CSS
experts who are a member of the group. I currently find myself facing
an issue that I haven't been able to solve (despite spending a few
hours and trying various potential solutions) and I'm hoping someone
here can help me.

I have been tasked with revising a site that I did not create and
which isn't designed or commented very well. Unfortunately, the site
owner doesn't want to pay for a full redesign, so I'm having to do my
best with a limited budget. The issue I'm having has to do with
"float drop" in IE7 and IE6 in the header area of the site.

The URL for my draft site fix is: http://bernofinmgt.com/revised/

Screenshots of the IE7 and IE6 issues are here:

The header looks fine in Firefox 4, Chrome 12, and IE8 on PC (XP OS).
I think that the IE7/6 issue has to do with "has Layout," but
assigning widths to the floated divs in both the standard stylesheet
and via conditional comments didn't fix the problem.

Any guidance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, Debbie
