I have completed a reasonable rough draft of a web site. Additional work is needed to perfect the content and styling, but I just encountered a more fundamental problem. I asked a number of people to test the site on their local computers and the site displays "okay" in most browsers. However, three people who use IE8 and IE9 report that all they can see when they go to the site is a blue screen. When I tested the site in Adobe Browser Lab I can see that the screen appears to be the color of the background color of the site so I presume that is what is displaying.

I presume the problem is due to some error in the styling but i am not even sure of that. I have validated each of the html and css files and there are no syntax errors. I attempted to research the problem on the Internet and found some references to a similar problem when using gmail and when using compatibility view. The former is not relevant in this instance and from the description it seems unlikely that compatibility view is the culprit. However, I just don't know.

The site is here: academy of leisuresciences.com.

The css is here: academyofleisuresciences.com/css/ ...

the css files are named books.css, initialize.css, main.css, and print.css. However, only the initialize and main css files are called by the home page.

I would appreciate any help you can provide.
