OK...I'm both red-faced AND laughing! That low line-height was to control the black area above the widget. I don't want the text to wrap at all, actually. Yes, I'm on Lion and the Safari version is indeed 5.1.7 So, I guess I picked a bad way to control the black area heigh above the widget, and made myself a type problem in the bargain! Thank you!
