Notice that margin left value is 16px  (sorry, I said padding)  If you insert 
1.25em you get a much larger space than if you insert 20px, which 1.25 em 
*should* be  (1 em = 16; 1.25 x 16 = 20)

so, 20px is a hard value; ems are relative, but I don’t see what’s making ems 
in that spot render as more than 100%
