OK, that was very helpful in getting me on the trail to what I think is a fix. that input has an id of “s” which isn’t as descriptive as I’d like but, there it is. Previously, I had a problem with it jutting too far to the right, so I gave it a max-width of 8rem, and that seemed to fix that, but I then noticed it was inconsistent among browsers. I am fairly sure I tried this before, but width 100% float right works now, correctly, in all 4 browsers I had. 3rd time’s the charm, perhaps, but thank you for touching on the area that needed attention, Tom!
