Sorry, but i could not figure what is, exaclty, your problem without
checking your styles.

Take a look at http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page=CssLayouts to
check some good tecniches on using table-less css layout, your answer
may be there.

If you still have problems, come back and send us yout html and css
(please, use a pastebin for large codes).
