If you want to emphasize the text, you could change your <span></span>
tags to <em></em>. It's more semantic that way. Also, try declaring the
actual hex value (#282a73) for navy in your css and see if that fixes
your issues in FF and Chrome, since I believe they may have dropped
support for name-based values. Also, there isn't enough contrast between
black and navy for this to be effective; so changing the color to a
slightly brighter blue would be a better option.
