Eric

For a start, I assume Google's newsgroups are set up so that if you follow
the unsubscribe link it does it automatically. If it doesn't work, I suggest
you take it up with the big G and not berate members of the group and
setting up a autoresponder to spam the newsgroup with [?]

While you were taking the time to set up your autoresponder you could have
spent your time more productively instead and just have gone into your
Groups settings at http://groups.google.com/?hl=en and unsubscribed manually
if you really don't want these emails any longer.

Cheers,
Mick
