Why alienate potential users/buyers/clients?  That just doesn't make sense, 
especially when they don't have a choice of what browsers they can use. 

Many companies have proprietary apps that we're developed for a particular 
browser (IE6), thus they stick with that browser instead of upgrading and then 
having to spend a fortune to update the app!

One of the goals of a website should be to make the website accessible/viewable 
to as many users as possible! Thus is why it's important to know your target 
audience and the tools they use!
