Peter Willadt submitted an update to the

                pdflatexpicscale

package.

Version: 0.50 2024-10-18
License: lppl

Summary description: Support software for downscaling graphics to be included
by pdfLaTeX

Announcement text:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Including raster graphics (JPG or PNG files, e.g.) within a PDF file may bloat
the file size, depending on graphics resolution and quality.
Depending on the intended use, high resolution is often overkill. You do not
need 600 dpi for a document that is intended for a presentation with a
projector.
pdflatexpicscale offers a (hopefully) convenient way to produce PDF files from
your LaTeX documents that take intended target
resolutions into account. It is possible to produce several sets of resolutions.
This version removes the previous dependency of ImageMagick.
