This version introduces a BREAKING CHANGE:
From now on, option "german" means contemporary (post-1996)
German (de-DE-1996), except for documents that also load
either of ngerman, naustrian or nswissgerman.
Please refer to the manual for a rationalization of this change
and possibilities to customize this behavior.
