- Debugging switch `check-assertions`, `\debug_assert:nN(n)`,
and `\debug_assert:nn(n)` (issue \#1840)
### Changed
- Apply `\text_declare_purify_equivalent:Nn` to commands
immediately following `\protect`
- Adjust `\vbox_center:nn` to give identical dimensions to `\vcenter`
