Significant new features have been added to stackengine V3.1:
- a more versatile \stackinset macro has been added. It allows
insets that are offset with respect to l,c,r horizontal
alignments and with respect to t,c,b vertical alignments. It
also has a more convenient syntax for nesting;
- \hsmash has been added, which allows for objects to span into
margins;
- the end-of-line character employed in \Shortstack, \Longstack,
etc., formerly a space token, may be set by the user to
another character, such as \\;
- a mode is introduced which will pad all long-stack rows with
struts;
- a specified gap may be placed above and below a stack.
