Renier, have a look at http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/developers.html At the bottom of this page there are some paragraphs about JRE downloading. It might be possible to download from a different URL than SUN's website with 1.5 version of Webstart, but I do not think it is possible with older versions ...

I checked the files it downloads from sun's server and it's a couple of jars named jre-xxxxxx-windows-i586.jar or something like that. Where do I get my grubby little paws on these files ( except for scrounging for them in my webstart cache ). i.e. a very nicely packaged sun intranet install? Basically I would like to specify the exact JRE in the JNLP and get the client machines to download that of the intranet server since not all of them have internet access? Has anyone done this or am I just plain delusional? :-) Cheers, Renier
