yip, I was thinking about that. When I left off 1.2 was current so I haven't investigated the changes since - but like you say if there aren't major changes between 1.2 and 1.4 then might as well do 1.4 (besides, looks like CS holdings is only offering the 1.4 exam anyway).
But basically I just want to get the Programmer certification (which I should have done back then - hindsight is a bummer!) as the first step in being eligible to get the Web Developer certification (I'm currently getting to grips with the whole servlets, jsp, etc story).
